ZOSTUM 3GM INJECTION is a combination of two drugs: Cefoperazone (Cephalosporin Antibiotic) and Sulbactam (Beta-lactamase inhibitor). ZOSTUM 3GM INJECTION is used to treat bacterial infections.

Special Instructions for ZOSTUM 3GM INJECTION

• Take ZOSTUM 3GM INJECTION post meal to avoid upset stomach.
• Do not take ZOSTUM 3GM INJECTION if you have had an allergic reaction to antibiotics like cephalosporins, monobactams or carbapenems. Symptoms of allergic reaction include swelling of face, throat, hands, feet, ankles or severe rashes that develops quickly.
• Please do not self-administer ZOSTUM 3GM INJECTION. Your doctor/nurse will administer the medicine. 
• Please do not stop taking ZOSTUM 3GM INJECTION even though you feel better. You are advised to take ZOSTUM 3GM INJECTION for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.
• Keep your doctor informed, if you are about to take products containing calcium.
• Please consult your doctor if you have diarrhea after the medicine is administered. You are advised to drink plenty of water and take non-spicy meals.

Sulbactam improves the activity of cefperazone by decreasing the bacterial resistance.
