Uses of THINWES INJECTION

THINWES INJECTION is a synthetic pituitary hormone. It is used to treat bleeding from dilated veins in the oesophagus (food pipe), which can occur in the late stages of liver failure or liver cirrhosis

Special Instructions for THINWES INJECTION

• Do not self-administer. THINWES INJECTION will be given by registered nurse or health care professional.
• THINWES INJECTION will be given intravenously.
• THINWES INJECTION is not recommended for children and adolescents.
• THINWES INJECTION may be repeated as required, at intervals of 4 hours and will be given for a maximum of 48 hours.
• Regular monitoring of blood pressure, heart rate and balance of fluid in the body is recommended while taking THINWES INJECTION.
• Inform your doctor if you are suffering from a severe infection, bronchial asthma, uncontrolled high blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, impaired kidney function or disturbances in electrolyte levels.
• Always keep your doctor informed about the ongoing medications or the ones which you have taken in the past, including over-the-counter medicines and herbal medicines.
