Uses of TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET
TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET is a combination of two anti-hypertensive drugs: Telmisartan (Angiotensin II receptor antagonist) and Metoprolol (Beta blocker). TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET is used to treat hypertension.
Special Instructions for TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET
• Take TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET daily at the same time of the day irrespective of meals for best results.
• A low fat and salt diet along with exercising is highly recommended to enhance and compliment treatment with TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET.
• You are advised not to drink alcohol while you are taking TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET.
• Do not take TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET if you are planning to conceive/become pregnant.
• Keep your doctor informed if you have or had any previous history of heart, kidney or liver diseases.
• Speak with your doctor instantly if you have severe allergic rashes and swelling in the ankle, face, lips or mouth or extreme tiredness with muscle weakness while taking TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET. Your doctor may discontinue or change the medicine.
• Do not stop taking TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET suddenly without consulting your doctor. It may pose a risk of high blood pressure and related cardiac problems.
• You are recommended to regularly monitor blood pressure levels to prevent low blood pressure.

TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET consists of two anti-hypertensive medicines: Telmisartan (Angiotensin II receptor antagonist) and Metoprolol (Beta blocker). Angiotensin-II is a substance produced in the body which narrow the blood vessels thus increasing the blood pressure. The effect of angiotensin II is blocked by telmisartan, thereby relaxes the blood vessels, and lowers blood pressure. Metoprolol works by making the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body and slows down the heart rate.
Q. Can I stop taking TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET on my own? A. Do not stop taking TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET on your own as it may lead to chest pain, along with variation in blood pressure and even heart attack. Subsequent dose reduction is recommended provided it is advised by a doctor. In-case you are feeling any discomfort while taking TEL REVELOL 40/25MG ER TABLET discuss with your doctor, he/she may prescribe you alternate medicines.

Hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels in blood) may occur in patients with advanced renal impairment, heart failure, on renal replacement therapy, or on potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium-containing salt substitutes or other drugs that increase potassium levels.
