SYSVOG GM1 TABLET is a combination of three drugs: Voglibose (?-Glucosidase inhibitor), Metformin (Biguanide) and Glimepiride (Sulfonylurea). SYSVOG GM1 TABLET is used to lower blood glucose levels in people with Type 2 Diabetes.

Special Instructions for SYSVOG GM1 TABLET

• Take SYSVOG GM1 TABLET with meals or as directed by the physician. Take meals regularly to balance blood sugar levels.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol while on SYSVOG GM1 TABLET medication.
• Read the label carefully before taking SYSVOG GM1 TABLET.
• Do not take SYSVOG GM1 TABLET if you are allergic to any of the drugs or ingredients mentioned in the label.
• Take SYSVOG GM1 TABLET with caution if you have liver or kidney problems, severe infections, any metabolic acidosis or alcohol addiction. Your doctor may suggest blood tests regularly.
• Please do not skip your medication deliberately. Try to take SYSVOG GM1 TABLET daily. It will help to keep your blood glucose levels in control. If you have a habit of forgetting to take medicines, ask a family member/friend to remind you. Or you can use electronic tools to remind you to take medication on time.

Q. How does SYSVOG GM1 TABLET work? A. SYSVOG GM1 TABLET is a combination of three drugs: Voglibose, metformin, glimepiride. SYSVOG GM1 TABLET is used to lower the blood sugar levels in diabetes type-2 patients. Insulin helps in uptake of glucose by muscles. Diabetic patients have low levels of insulin in their blood. Glimepiride increases the release of insulin from pancreas and controls the blood glucose levels. Metformin decreases formation of glucose by liver and increases glucose uptake by muscles. Thus, metformin decreases blood sugar levels. Voglibose helps to keep blood glucose levels in control by reducing the amount of glucose that is digested and absorbed from the food. SYSVOG GM1 TABLET is used when treatment with single or double drugs is not effective. SYSVOG GM1 TABLET is a third-line treatment for diabetes.
Q. Can I stop taking SYSVOG GM1 TABLET on my own? A. No, you are advised to take SYSVOG GM1 TABLET until and unless your doctor says otherwise. Diabetes is a life-long condition, which can only be controlled but not cured. People with diabetes should take special care of their diet and take medicines regularly for healthy life. If you feel that the medication is ineffective, despite your daily intake, speak with your doctor. He may suggest alternate medication.
Q. Can I take SYSVOG GM1 TABLET with furosemide? A. No, you are advised not to take SYSVOG GM1 TABLET with furosemide. SYSVOG GM1 TABLET contains a drug SYSVOG GM1 TABLETd metformin. Furosemide, when given along with metformin, increases the levels of both furosemide and metformin. This may result in unwanted harmful effects. If you are using furosemide and are prescribed SYSVOG GM1 TABLET, please speak with your doctor.
Q. Does SYSVOG GM1 TABLET cause hypoglycaemia? A. If SYSVOG GM1 TABLET is taken along with other antidiabetic medicines, there is a chance for hypoglycaemia to occur. Although SYSVOG GM1 TABLET seldom causes hypoglycaemia, there are chances for a diabetic patient to experience hypoglycaemia when taken in large doses. If you observe hypoglycaemic symptoms such as, excessive sweating, fainting, excessive hunger, nausea, blurred vision, dry mouth, palpitations or nervousness, please contact your doctor.
