Levosulpiride is a dopamine receptor D2 antagonist that works by increasing bowel movements. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that works by reducing the amount of acid secreted by stomach. Thus, it reduces acidity of stomach, which is helpful in gastrointestinal conditions such as peptic ulcer, heartburn, stomach upset etc.
Q. Can I take SUPERIA L CAPSULE with methotrexate? A. No, it is advised not to take SUPERIA L CAPSULE with methotrexate. SUPERIA L CAPSULE may increase the levels of methotrexate in the body. Methotrexate is an antimetabolite. It is used to treat cancer. If its levels are increased, it may cause toxicity to normal cells.
Q. Does SUPERIA L CAPSULE cause vitamin B12 deficiency? A. If you use SUPERIA L CAPSULE for a long time, it can cause vitamin B12 deficiency. Add foods rich in vitamin B12 to your diet. You can also try vitamin B12 supplements available in the market.
Q. Can I take SUPERIA L CAPSULE with ketoconazole? A. No, it is recommended not take ketoconazole along with SUPERIA L CAPSULE. Ketoconazole is an antifungal drug that works in the normal acidic conditions present in your stomach. SUPERIA L CAPSULE reduces acidity of stomach which may not be favourable for ketoconazole. If you are taking SUPERIA L CAPSULE and are prescribed ketoconazole, give some time gap between those two drugs.
