A) RELENT OD SR CAPSULE is a combination of two drugs: Levocetirizine (Antihistamine) and Ambroxol (Mucolytics). Levocetirizine is an antihistamine drug that relieves sneezing, watery eyes and runny nose by blocking the natural substance which if responsible for causing allergic symptoms. Ambroxol loosens and thins the mucus making it easier to cough out.

A) Yes, RELENT OD SR CAPSULE is safe as long as it is taken in the prescribed dose and as directed by the doctor. However, RELENT OD SR CAPSULE may cause side-effects such as headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and dizziness in some patients.

A) No, you are advised not to consume alcohol while taking RELENT OD SR CAPSULE because alcohol may increase the risk of side effects such as loss of concentration, drowsiness and dizziness. So, you are strongly recommended to avoid alcohol along with RELENT OD SR CAPSULE as much as possible.

A) Yes, diarrhoea could be a side-effect of RELENT OD SR CAPSULE. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and eat small portions of non-spicy meals. Please consult your doctor if you experience severe diarrhoea or if you find blood in the stools.
Q) Can I stop taking RELENT OD SR CAPSULE on my own?
A) No, do not stop taking RELENT OD SR CAPSULE even though you feel well. Continue taking RELENT OD SR CAPSULE for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. If there is no symptomatic improvement and cough and mucus secretions do not go away in-spite of taking RELENT OD SR CAPSULE for a week then, inform your doctor as he/she may prescribe you some other medication.

A) Yes, RELENT OD SR CAPSULE may cause dryness of mouth. This effect is temporary and can overcome by drinking plenty of fluids, chewing sugar-free gum or mint, sucking on sugarless hard candy or ice chips or by using a saliva substitute.
