Uses of PEROCLIN 5% GEL

PEROCLIN 5% GEL is the combination of two drugs: Clindamycin and Benzoyl peroxide. PEROCLIN 5% GEL is used to treat acne. It acts against bacteria that cause acne and helps to remove dead cells from the layers of skin.

Special Instructions for PEROCLIN 5% GEL

• Apply PEROCLIN 5% GEL only on the affected areas. Wash hands cleanly after the application.
• Please do not apply PEROCLIN 5% GEL to eye regions, nostrils or any other sensitive regions of the body. PEROCLIN 5% GEL may cause damage to mucus layer or extremely sensitive skin.
• If you are allergic to clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide, do not use PEROCLIN 5% GEL and please consult your doctor. If you experience rashes, itching of skin or any signs of skin irritation, stop using PEROCLIN 5% GEL and immediately speak to your doctor/pharmacist.
• Avoid using excessive amount of PEROCLIN 5% GEL, as it may cause skin irritation.
• Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and have taken in the past, including over the counter medicines and herbal products, especially, other dermal medicines and products.
• While using PEROCLIN 5% GEL, take precautions such as washing the affected area cleanly. Wear loose clothing, preferably cotton.
• Avoid the usage of alcohol containing skin products. Wash your hair frequently and clean the affected areas with soap.
• Use medicated soaps to wash the affected area. Try to avoid scratching or rubbing the affected area.
