Uses of PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET
PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET belongs to a group of medicines called Proton Pump Inhibitors. PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET is used for treating acid-related disorders of stomach and intestine. PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET is used to treat reflux esophagitis in adults and adolescents aged 12 years of age and above. PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET is used along with two antibiotics to treat infection caused by bacterium called Helicobacter pylori in adult patients with duodenal ulcers and stomach ulcers. PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET is also used to treat Zollinger-Ellison-Syndrome (condition in which causes overproduction of gastric acid in the stomach).
Special Instructions for PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET
• Take PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET 1 hour before a meal without breaking or chewing, swallow it with some water.
• Taking PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET in the morning will effectively reduce stomach acid production.
• PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET is not recommended for children below 12 years unless prescribed by a child specialist.
• If you do not get relief within 10-15 days, discuss with your doctor. There may be some other underlying medical condition which needs to be investigated.
• Inform your doctor immediately if you experience occult blood (blood in stool) and stop taking PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET.
• People taking PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET for a long time are advised to keep a check on their calcium levels. Taking PANTAGUT 40MG TABLET for a long time leads to depletion of calcium and magnesium resulting in brittle and weak bones.
