Uses of MAGNEX 1GM INJECTION

MAGNEX 1GM INJECTION is a combination of two drugs: Cefoperazone (Cephalosporin Antibiotic) and Sulbactam (Beta-lactamase inhibitor). MAGNEX 1GM INJECTION is used to treat bacterial infections.

Special Instructions for MAGNEX 1GM INJECTION

• Take MAGNEX 1GM INJECTION post meal to avoid upset stomach.
• Do not take MAGNEX 1GM INJECTION if you have had an allergic reaction to antibiotics like cephalosporins, monobactams or carbapenems. Symptoms of allergic reaction include swelling of face, throat, hands, feet, ankles or severe rashes that develops quickly.
• Please do not self-administer MAGNEX 1GM INJECTION. Your doctor/nurse will administer the medicine.
• Please do not stop taking MAGNEX 1GM INJECTION even though you feel better. You are advised to take MAGNEX 1GM INJECTION for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.
• Keep your doctor informed, if you are about to take products containing calcium.
• Please consult your doctor if you have diarrhea after the medicine is administered. You are advised to drink plenty of water and take non-spicy meals.

Sulbactam improves the activity of cefperazone by decreasing the bacterial resistance.
