Uses of MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET

MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET is a combination of three anti-tubercular drugs: Isoniazid, Rifampicin and Pyrazinamide. MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET is used in the treatment of tuberculosis.

Special Instructions for MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET

• Take MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET 30 minutes before meals or 2 hours after meals.
• Maintain a minimum gap of 1 hour between MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET and antacid medicines as antacids may interfere with the working of MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET .
• You are advised to maintain a minimum gap of 8 hours between MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET and TB medicines such as P-aminosalicyclic acid (PAS) and cycloserine.
• Do not consume cheese, tropical fish or red wine while you are taking MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET .
• Inform your doctor about the other medicines you are taking.
• Be cautious while driving and engaging in activities which require mental and physical coordination. MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET can cause light-headedness.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you find symptoms of allergic reaction such as swelling of throat or tongue, lips, face, rashes, breathing or swallowing problems. Also do not take MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET if you have jaundice (yellowing of eyes and skin).
• Keep your doctor informed if you have or had any previous history of heart, kidney or liver diseases.

A) MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET is a combination of three anti-tuberculosis drugs: Isoniazid, Rifampicin and Pyrazinamide. Rifampicin inactivates RNA-polymerase (bacterial enzyme) which is essential for the tuberculosis causing bacteria to reproduce and to make proteins. Isoniazid works by preventing the bacteria to form a protective covering. Pyrazinamide slows the growth of tuberculosis causing bacteria.

A) MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET may affect the results of some blood tests like tests for liver function, vitamin B12, and folate. Inform the person doing the blood test that you are taking MACOX ZH KID DT TABLET .
