KOFMID LS SYRUP is a combination of three drugs: Salbutamol (Bronchodilator), Ambroxol (Mucolytic agent) and Guaiphenesin (Expectorant). KOFMID LS SYRUP is used to treat cough with mucus.

Special Instructions for KOFMID LS SYRUP


• Take KOFMID LS SYRUP irrespective of meals.
• Take KOFMID LS SYRUP as prescribed by your doctor. Please check the label for directions before using name

• Shake well before use and measure KOFMID LS SYRUP with measuring cup or spoon supplied with the pack and take it by mouth.
• Inform your doctor if you have or had any previous history of heart, kidney or liver.
• You are recommended not to consume alcohol while taking KOFMID LS SYRUP as it may cause increased dizziness.
• Keep your doctor informed if you are taking any other medicines along with KOFMID LS SYRUP to avoid unwanted drug-drug interactions.
• If there is no symptomatic improvement and cough and mucus secretions do not go away in-spite of taking KOFMID LS SYRUP for a week inform your doctor, he/she may prescribe you some other medication.

Q) How does KOFMID LS SYRUP work? A) KOFMID LS SYRUP is a combination of three drugs: Salbutamol (Bronchodilator), Ambroxol (Mucolytic agent) and Guaiphenesin (Expectorant). Salbutamol works in the airways by opening breathing passages and relaxing the muscles. Ambroxol loosens and thins the mucus making it easier to cough out. Guaiphenesin works by drawing water into the bronchi (air passages branching into the lungs). The released water thins and lubricates the airways, this facilitates removal of cold, flu and allergy associated with mucus from the chest by coughing. This makes breathing easier.

A) No, you are advised not to take KOFMID LS SYRUP along with anti-hypertensive medicines, particularly with beta blockers as it could lead to unpleasant side-effects.
