GLYCHEK M OD TABLET is a combination of two antidiabetic drugs: Gliclazide and Metformin. GLYCHEK M OD TABLET is used to treat type 2 diabetes and lower blood glucose levels.

Special Instructions for GLYCHEK M OD TABLET

• Take GLYCHEK M OD TABLET with meals to avoid stomach upset.
• A low-carbohydrate healthy diet and 45 mins of brisk walk daily along with GLYCHEK M OD TABLET is recommended for best results.
• Regular blood tests are recommended to monitor blood sugar levels while taking GLYCHEK M OD TABLET.
• If you are about to undergo any surgery, you are recommended to avoid taking GLYCHEK M OD TABLET.

Q) How does GLYCHEK M OD TABLET work? A) GLYCHEK M OD TABLET is a combination of two antidiabetic drugs: Gliclazide and Metformin. Insulin generally removes excess sugar from the blood. In type 2 diabetes, insulin hormone that is responsible for controlling blood sugar levels is not produced in the body or body doesn’t use insulin properly. Gliclazide works by stimulating certain cells in pancreas to produce insulin and thus, lowers blood sugar levels in the body. Metformin works by reducing sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from intestines into blood.
Q) Can I consume alcohol with GLYCHEK M OD TABLET? A) No, you are not recommended to consume alcohol with GLYCHEK M OD TABLET as it may cause lactic acidosis (excess lactic acid in blood) resulting in adverse effects such as irregular heartbeat, weakness, breathing problems, stomach upset or drowsiness. However, if you notice any of these symptoms, please consult a doctor immediately.
