Uses of GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET

GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET is a combination of two anti-diabetic medicines: Glibenclamide (Sulfonylurea) and Metformin (Biguanide). GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET is used in the treatment of type-2 diabetes.

Special Instructions for GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET

• Take GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET preferably with breakfast in the morning. If you are taking it twice a day then take it with breakfast and dinner.
• Remember to always take GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET with meals to avoid hypoglycemic events (sudden dip in blood glucose levels).
• A low-carbohydrate healthy diet and 45 minutes of brisk walk daily along with GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET has been found to give very good results in people with type 2 diabetes.
• Before driving or performing any strenuous activity after taking GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET make sure your blood glucose levels are in good control.
• Do not hesitate to speak with a doctor if you experience hazy vision, dizziness, yellowing of skin, shaky hands, extreme anxiousness, severe stomach pain and profuse sweating.

Q) How does GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET work? A) GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET consists of two anti-diabetic medicines GLYBONIL PLUS TABLETly Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride lowers the blood glucose levels by increasing the amount of insulin release from the pancreas. Metformin lowers the glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from intestine and increases body's sensitivity to insulin.
Q) Does GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET cause hypoglycemia? A) GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET helps to lower your blood glucose to as normal level as possible. But sometimes it might cause hypoglycemia (lowering of blood glucose level than normal). Symptoms include fatigue, dizziness, profuse sweating, tachycardia (fast heartbeat), and vision disorders. Regular monitoring of your blood-glucose levels is advised while you are on GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET medication as hypoglycemia could be a side-effect of GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET. Please consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of the above side-effects.
Q) Does GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET cure diabetes? A) GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET helps in lowering the blood-glucose levels to normal, thereby treats diabetes. However, GLYBONIL PLUS TABLET does not cure diabetes. It only helps in reducing sugar levels in blood. Research is in progress for the cure of diabetes.
