Glimepiride lowers the blood glucose levels by increasing the amount of insulin release from the pancreas. Metformin lowers the glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from intestine and increases body's sensitivity to insulin. Pioglitazone works by increasing insulin sensitivity.

But sometimes it might cause hypoglycemia (lowering of blood glucose level than normal). Symptoms include fatigue, dizziness, profuse sweating, tachycardia (fast heartbeat), and vision disorders. Regular monitoring of your blood-glucose levels is advised while you are on this medication as hypoglycemia could be a side-effect of FORMIN PGL 2MG TABLET.
