Uses of DYTOR INJECTION

DYTOR INJECTION belongs to a group of medicines called diuretics. DYTOR INJECTION is used in treatment of high blood pressure and oedema (fluid retention) caused by heart failure.

Special Instructions for DYTOR INJECTION

• Take DYTOR INJECTION irrespective of meals and at the same time daily for best results. Take DYTOR INJECTION only when prescribed by a doctor.
• DYTOR INJECTION is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
• Avoid taking DYTOR INJECTION if you are allergic to sulphonylureas, if you have severe kidney or liver problems, if you suffer from low blood pressure, if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, if you are taking cephalosporin or aminoglycoside antibiotic, if have developed kidney problems due to taking medicines which cause kidney damage. Do not DYTOR INJECTION if any of the above applies to you.
• Take DYTOR INJECTION with precaution if you suffer from diabetes, if you suffer from gout, if you have low sodium and/or potassium levels in your blood, if have hypovolaemia, if have any problems passing urine, if you have an abnormal heart beat. Always, keep checking with your doctor while you are on DYTOR INJECTION if you have any of the above condition.
• Seek medical help immediately if you experience any allergic reactions like swelling of the lips, face or neck leading to severe difficulty in breathing, skin rash or nettle rash.

DYTOR INJECTION works by helping the kidney to excrete more water and electrolytes, including sodium chloride, which helps in removing excess fluid, relieving edema. This mechanism also lowers the blood pressure.

Q. Does DYTOR INJECTION cause numbness? A. Yes, DYTOR INJECTION may cause numbness in arms, legs, hands or feet. You may experience pins and needles sensation in your arms, legs, hands or feet. However, this side effect reported in only few people taking DYTOR INJECTION. If you experience frequent episodes of numbness, then you should speak with your doctor.
Q. Can I take DYTOR INJECTION with diabetes medication? A. No, DYTOR INJECTION may decrease the effectiveness of the diabetic medication if taken at same time. You are advised to speak with your doctor before taking DYTOR INJECTION if you are on diabetic medication.
