Uses of DIP A TABLET

DIP A TABLET is a combination of two drugs: Amlodipine (Calcium channel blocker) and Lisinopril (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme [ACE] Inhibitor). DIP A TABLET belongs to a group of medicines known as antihypertensives. DIP A TABLET is used to control the blood pressure in hypertensive patients.

Special Instructions for DIP A TABLET

• Take DIP A TABLET irrespective of meals. Try to take DIP A TABLET at the same time daily for best results.
• Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking or have taken in the past, including, over-the-counter medicines and herbal products.
• Go to doctor for regular check-ups. Please do not neglect these regular check-ups. The regular monitoring of blood pressure is necessary to check and keep your blood pressure under control. And also because blood pressure often does not show any symptoms until it becomes severe.
• If you are allergic to ramipril, hydrochlorothiazide or any of the ingredients mentioned in the label, do not take DIP A TABLET and immediately speak to your doctor.
• Take DIP A TABLET with caution if you have kidney or heart problems, heart failure or heart attack, diabetes or liver problems.
• Continue taking DIP A TABLET even when you feel better until your doctor instructs you to stop. Hypertension often does not show any symptoms until it becomes severe. Stopping the medication in the middle of the treatment may pose a risk of high blood pressure and cardiac problems. Taking medicines regularly will help to keep your blood pressure under control.
• Try to take plenty of water and fluids to stay hydrated. Exercises such as walking, jogging, swimming etc., can help bringing blood pressure to normal levels and keep you healthy.
• If you have drinking and smoking habits, you are urged to quit them as they can worsen your symptoms of hypertension.
