Uses of DEXONA INJECTION
DEXONA INJECTION is a synthetic corticosteroid drug. DEXONA INJECTION is used to treat inflammation in acute conditions where oral corticosteroid treatment is not possible and when fast response is needed such as shock, rheumatoid arthritis, allergic reactions and Swelling of the brain due to brain tumour.
Special Instructions for DEXONA INJECTION
• DEXONA INJECTION will be strictly given by a registered nurse or health care professional.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you experience sudden onset of itchy rash, swelling of the feet, hands, face, ankles, mouth, lips, or throat and high fever.
• Bring to your doctor's knowledge if you have or had any history of diabetes, osteoporosis, tuberculosis, high blood pressure, glaucoma, stomach ulcers, epilepsy, migraine, kidney or liver problems.
• Tell your doctor if you are allergic to DEXONA INJECTION.

Q. How does DEXONA INJECTION work? A. DEXONA INJECTION is a corticosteroid. DEXONA INJECTION works by reducing the production of chemicals that cause inflammation. Corticosteroids are produced naturally in the body and are important for many body functions. Corticosteroids imitates the effects of hormones in the body which are naturally produced in adrenal glands.
Q. Does taking DEXONA INJECTION cause neurological problems (mental health problems)? A. Yes, taking DEXONA INJECTION known to cause mental health problems, however, they may go after stopping the DEXONA INJECTION or lowering the dose of DEXONA INJECTION. You may experience symptoms of depression, suicidal ideations etc. These symptoms usually start after few days or weeks of starting the DEXONA INJECTION. In children, raised pressure in the skull may arise, symptoms are like sickness, headache and fits. However, it is not necessary for all people to experience these symptoms but discuss with your doctor before discontinuing this medication.

Some medicines may reduce the effect of DEXONA INJECTION or interact with DEXONA INJECTION or cause serious side effects when given both at same time such as barbiturates, ephedrine, acetazolamide, carbenoxolone, antibiotics, anti-cancer drugs, anticoagulants, diabetic medicines, anti-inflammatory drugs, diuretics, antihypertensives and medicines for HIV. So, always inform and check with your doctor before taking DEXONA INJECTION with other medications.
