Uses of CPZ 50MG TABLET

CPZ 50MG TABLET belongs to a group of medicines known as phenothiazines. CPZ 50MG TABLET used to treat schizophrenia, paranoia, mania, anxiety, agitation and violent or dangerously impulsive behavior. CPZ 50MG TABLET is also used for prolonged periods of hiccups, childhood schizophrenia and autism.

Special Instructions for CPZ 50MG TABLET

• Take CPZ 50MG TABLET irrespective of meals and at the same time daily for best results. Take CPZ 50MG TABLET only when prescribed by a doctor.
• Avoid taking CPZ 50MG TABLET if you have an increased pressure in the eye (glaucoma), if you are taking a dopaminergic antiparkinsonism drug, if you are taking citalopram or escitalopram, if you have a history of low white blood cell count, if you have urine retention due to a prostate disorder. If any of the above applies to you, please avoid taking CPZ 50MG TABLET and speak to your doctor for more information.
• Inform your doctor if you are suffering from any of the disease condition like epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, hypothyroidism, myasthenia gravis, depression and glaucoma.
• Also tell your doctor if you have a history of depression or any other mental disorder, if you have been hospitalized for mental illnesses, drug or alcohol addiction before taking medicines for severe anxiety.
• You are recommended not to take alcohol along with CPZ 50MG TABLET. Together they bring up very unpleasant side effects.
• Pregnant women or women trying to conceive should avoid taking CPZ 50MG TABLET.
