Uses of CORINITE TABLET

CORINITE TABLET is the combination of four drugs: Chlorpheniramine (H1 antagonist), Phenylephrine (Nasal decongestant), Caffeine (CNS Stimulant) and Paracetamol (Analgesic/antipyretic). CORINITE TABLET is used to treat common cold symptoms. 

Special Instructions for CORINITE TABLET

• Take CORINITE TABLET irrespective of meals, preferably at the same time daily for best results.
• Along with CORINITE TABLET, try inhaling steam and drinking warm water. It will bring you temporary relief from runny nose.
• If your symptoms are not relieved or reduced after taking CORINITE TABLET, please consult the doctor.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol while on CORINITE TABLET medication as it may lead to excessive drowsiness.
• If you feel dizzy or drowsy, please do not drive or operate heavy machinery.
• Take CORINITE TABLET with caution if you have hypertension that is untreated or uncontrolled, diabetes, kidney or liver problems, hyperthyroidism, closed angle glaucoma or epilepsy.
• Inform your doctor about all your ongoing and past medications, including over the counter medicines and herbal products, especially, other medicines for common cold.
• Do not take CORINITE TABLET if you are allergic to chlorpheniramine, phenylephrine, caffeine and paracetamol. If you observe any allergic reactions such as swelling of face, mouth, lips or throat, itching or redness of skin or breathing difficulties, immediately consult your doctor.

Q) How does CORINITE TABLET work? A) CORINITE TABLET is the combination of four drugs: Chlorpheniramine, Phenylephrine, Caffeine and Paracetamol. Chlorpheniramine is H1 Antihistamine, which works by blocking H1 histamine receptors. It reduces the itching, swelling and redness. Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant which works by constricting the blood vessels and helps to remove the nose blocks. Caffeine is a CNS stimulant which reduces the sedative action of chlorpheniramine and also acts as analgesic along with paracetamol. It works by increasing the mucus secretion in nose, which helps in removing the nose blocks. Paracetamol is a mild analgesic which relieve the body pains and it is also an antipyretic that treats the symptoms of fever. 
Q) Can I stop taking CORINITE TABLET on my own? A) CORINITE TABLET is generally prescribed for short term use and can be discontinued after the symptoms are relieved. However, it is recommended to continue using CORINITE TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.
Q) Is it safe to take CORINITE TABLET for prolonged time? A) No, do not take CORINITE TABLET for prolonged time as it may pose a risk of renal and hepatic impairment. Maintain a minimum gap of 4-6 hours between each dose. Do not consume more than 8 tablets per day.
Q) Can I consume tea/coffee while taking CORINITE TABLET? A) No, do not consume coffee, tea, chocolate or fizzy drinks which contain caffeine such as cola while you are taking CORINITE TABLET because excess of caffeine intake may cause difficulty in sleeping, shaking and palpitations.
Q) Does CORINITE TABLET cause irregular heart beat? A) Yes, increased heartbeat could be a side-effect of CORINITE TABLET. Regular monitoring of heart rate is advised while you are taking CORINITE TABLET. Consult your doctor if you experience irregular heartbeat.
