A) AZMARDA 100MG TABLET is the combination of two drugs: Sacubitril (Neprilysin inhibitor) and Valsartan (Angiotensin receptor blocker). Sacubitril works by inhibiting neprilysin (an enzyme) resulting in the dilation of blood vessels, reduction in blood volume by inducing frequent urination and by blocking sodium retention process. Valsartan works by blocking the actions of angiotensin-II, a hormone when present in high levels causes constriction of blood vessels, sodium retention etc. which contribute to the increase in blood pressure.
