Uses of AMODEP AT TABLET

AMODEP AT TABLET is a combination of two drugs: Amlodipine (calcium channel blocker) and Atenolol (beta blocker). AMODEP AT TABLET is used to lower blood pressure in patients with hypertension.

Special Instructions for AMODEP AT TABLET

• Take AMODEP AT TABLET irrespective of meals. Try to take AMODEP AT TABLET at the same time daily for best results.
• Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking or have taken in the past, including, over-the-counter medicines and herbal products.
• Take AMODEP AT TABLET with caution if you have liver problems, kidney problems or diabetes.
• Continue taking AMODEP AT TABLET even when you feel better until your doctor instructs you to stop. Hypertension often does not show any symptoms until it becomes severe. Stopping the medication in the middle of the treatment may pose a risk of high blood pressure and cardiac problems. Taking medicines regularly will help to keep your blood pressure under control.
• Try to take plenty of water and fluids to stay hydrated. Exercises such as walking, jogging, swimming etc., can help to bring blood pressure to normal levels and keep you healthy.

Q. What is AMODEP AT TABLET used for? A. AMODEP AT TABLET belongs to a group of medicines called antihypertensives. It is used to lower blood pressure in the individuals with high blood pressure. AMODEP AT TABLET contains a drug called amlodipine, which is a calcium channel blocker. When amlodipine and simvastatin are taken together, metabolism of simvastatin is slowed down. This results in accumulation of simvastatin in the body. This may lead to harmful effects.
