Product Composition



ACEFLAM TAB belongs to a class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs used for relieving pain and inflammation in the body. ACEFLAM TAB is commonly used to ease pain in the joints, tendons and muscles in conditions such as osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Special Instructions for ACEFLAM TAB

• ACEFLAM TAB controlled release tablets are specially made to release the drug slowly in your body. ACEFLAM TAB is intended for adult patients only.
• Take ACEFLAM TAB particularly with meals or just after meals to avoid stomach upset and acidity.
• Take ACEFLAM TAB with whole glass of water. Do not crush or chew ACEFLAM TAB. You are strongly advised not to change the dose of ACEFLAM TAB without talking to your doctor. Take dose as prescribed by your doctor.
• ACEFLAM TAB should not to be given to children under 18 years of age.
• Avoid taking ACEFLAM TAB if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Your doctor may prescribe you with special monitoring. Speak with your doctor for more information on this.
• Preferably a lower dosage of ACEFLAM TAB to be given to the elderly patients as compared to adults.
• Inform and check with your doctor before taking another painkiller or medicine along with ACEFLAM TAB.
• Along with medicines physical/hot/cold therapies can help ease swelling/joint/muscular pain and stiffness. Also improving range of motion, sitting and standing postures can help in managing pain effectively to a great extent.
• Before driving or performing any strenuous activity after taking ACEFLAM TAB make sure you are alert and normal enough to take up the above activities as this medicine may induce sleepiness and dizziness.
• Avoid taking ACEFLAM TAB if you have a peptic ulcer or bleeding in your stomach, if you have severe kidney disease, severe heart disease or congestive heart failure, severe liver disease, if you have history of active bleedings or bleeding disorders, if you have established heart disease and/or cerebrovascular disease. You are advised to speak to your doctor before taking ACEFLAM TAB if you have any of the conditions mentioned above.





Q) How does ACEFLAM TAB work?
A) ACEFLAM TAB works by reducing the formation of prostaglandins in the body which are responsible for causing pain and swelling. ACEFLAM TAB helps in relieving pain and inflammation in various disease conditions.

Q) Can I take ACEFLAM TAB with Ibuprofen?
A) No, you are strongly recommended not to take Ibuprofen along with ACEFLAM TAB. Together they may cause very unpleasant side effects which will harm the body. Other pain killers such as aspirin and naproxen should also be avoided completely while on ACEFLAM TAB medication.

Q) Can I stop ACEFLAM TAB on my own?
A) You are advised to continue taking ACEFLAM TAB till the time your doctor has prescribed it . Stopping it in the mid-way can lead to return of pain. However, if you are feeling any other discomfort with ACEFLAM TAB then discuss with your doctor before discontinuing it.

Q) Can ACEFLAM TAB be taken with anti-diabetes medicines?
A) There are no serious interactions between them. However, only take them together after consulting with your doctor, preferably a diabetologist/endocrinologist.

Q) When to stop taking ACEFLAM TAB?
A) You are advised to inform your doctor immediately if you are getting sharp abdominal pain, passing blood in stool or vomiting blood. Stop the medicine and seek medical advice right away.

Q) Can I take ACEFLAM TAB with mifepristone (medicine used to terminate pregnancy)?
A) No, you are strongly advised not to take ACEFLAM TAB with mifepristone. You are recommended to maintain a gap of at least 8-12 days between mifepristone and ACEFLAM TAB. Consult your doctor for more information on this.

Q) How to store ACEFLAM TAB?
A) Do not store ACEFLAM TAB above 25°C and store it away from heat and sunlight. Store it in room temperature and do not freeze it. Keep out of the sight and reach of the children.

Q) When should I stop taking ACEFLAM TAB?
A) You should stop taking ACEFLAM TAB and consult your doctor immediately if you have certain conditions like severe allergic reaction. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, wheezing, vomiting, skin rash, flaking skin, boils or sore lips and mouth, passing blood in stools/motions, black tarry stools, vomit of blood or dark particles, indigestion or heartburn, pains in your stomach or other abnormal stomach symptoms. If the above symptoms are experienced, then you should consult your doctor. Of course, these symptoms are may due to your other underlying conditions. Your doctor may perform different tests regarding this. He may stop your ACEFLAM TAB course or prescribe you alternate medication.
